***UPDATE*** Senator Jon Kyl (R-Ariz) confirms my theory! He said, "The president and some Democrats insist we must rush this plan through. Why? Because the more Americans know about it, the more they oppose it. Something this important needs to be done right, rather than done quickly."
Just a few minutes ago President Obama gave a short little press conference. It was probably only five minutes or so. The focus: Health care reform. He wanted to make it clear to the American people that some sort of health care reform will happen by the end of this year. He also said that this reform "cannot add to the national deficit...and I mean that." Repeated twice as if the second time would make it true. Obama also discussed the cost and where the money is going to come from to pay for it.
All of this aside, he wanted to make it clear that if we don't get this done as soon as possible we're going to suffer and we'll continue to experience high health care costs and high premiums. Why the sense of urgency? Why is Obama so determined to get this rolled out as soon as possible?
Could it be that if the American people actually knew what it entailed, how much it was going to cost and personally affect them that there'd be no way it would ever pass. He's trying to shove everthing down our throats before we even have a change to chew it. STOP THE MADNESS! Mr. President, are you completely brainless? Are you void of common sense? If you honestly think that your plan will reduce costs and boost the economy, you are sorely mistaken. We the people are coming. One term, if not impeachment is what I give you.
