Is Obama a Socialist? Uh, YES!

I hate it when politician are politicians...if that makes sense. Always making sure they say the right words or phrases to not cause any potential fallout. Playing it safe and giving "political" answers to tough questions. Mitt Romney was no different when asked by Bill O'Riley point blank if Obama is a socialist.

If anyone were to take just a small glimpse into President Obama's record and policies, there is no doubt that he is a socialist and wants the government to run every facet of your life. The biggest, most significant policy is the new health care laws and regulations, which will eventually lead to a complete takeover by the government and drive private insurance out of business. It's just a matter of time unless we get a conservative President and Congress to repeal and replace it.

Lack of Communication or the Policies?

Election Day on November 2, 2010 made history when Republicans took over the House of Representatives in a landside not seen in over 70 years! In addition to this, Senate Republicans picked up several seats further reducing the Democratic super majority they have held the past couple of years. Most governor races throughout the nation also turned red.

You would think that this would send a message to President Obama that the American people are not happy with the direction the country has taken with his progressive agenda and policies. When asked about it during an interview on 60-Minutes yesterday they President responded by saying he didn't think it was his policies, but a lack of communication, deliverance, and explanation of those policies to the American people.
"...leadership isn’t just legislation. That it’s a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone. Making an argument that people can understand. I think that we haven’t always been successful at that. And I take personal responsibility for that. And it’s something that I’ve got to examine carefully...as I go forward.”
In other words, he thinks that we, the American people, are too stupid to understand. To me, this shows me just how out of touch our President and his administration is with the American people. We fully understand Mr. President! We understand that you have increased the size and scope of the government at levels not seen since Woodrow Wilson. We understand that you are trying to "fundamentally transform" our country. We understand.

Mr. President, it seems like you are the one that doesn't understand. We don't want the government running the auto industry, our banks, Wallstreet, and most importantly our health care! We don't want the government regulating every aspect of our lives. We don't want the government spending trillions of dollars and debting this country that will enslave us for generations. We want limited government and policies that will promote economic growth like less taxes and less government instrusion!

Are you understanding us? No. You will continue down your progressive path and agenda. That's fine. You will be a one-term President. We will get a President in the White House that doesn't want to bankrupt our country. We will take back the House and Senate and repeal or defund your policies. If you don't think this Election Day on November 2nd was a direct message that we don't like what you're doing, in two years you will.

Feeling the Effects of Health Care Reform

McDonalds recently came out and said that it would be dropping health care coverage for 30,000 of it's employees because of the health care reform (aka ObamaCare) legislation that was passed a few months ago. Not long after that announcement the federal government granted a "waiver" for the company not requiring the implementation of key provisions in the legislation for one year. Many other big companies and unions have also received a waiver.

I work for a big corporation. The name of this corporation I'll call "Bobble." I received an email from my company announcing that open enrollment for health care insurance is coming up next month and to give us information regarding upcoming changes. The following is an excerpt of the email:
"While Health Care Reform takes effect gradually over the next several years, Bobble Corporation will continue to monitor what it means for our long-term strategy. We'll keep you informed about anything that will affect you or your family. For 2011, two changes result directly from Health Care Reform. Dependents may now be covered under the medical plan up to age 26, regardless of student or marital status, as long as they don't have access to coverage through their employer. Also, over-the-counter drugs without a prescription (except for insulin), will no longer be reimbursed through your pre-tax Health Care Spending Account.

"Employee medical plan contributions will increase for 2011. This increase reflects both rising medical costs and the costs of covering more eligible dependents."
I was expecting an increase in premium due to rising health care costs like every year, but also, my cost is being increased due to the insurance company having to cover more people. The insurance company is in business to make money. If something happens to that company that is going to cost them more money, they have to raise their rates to make it worth while to remain in business and make a profit. In turn, Bobble Corporation is also in the business to make money and when their costs go up they pass it along to their employees and maybe even their customers in higher prices for their product/service. So this health care reform is directly effecting me, my family, and my take home pay each month.

What do you think is going to happen when insurance companies are required to cover pre-existing conditions? Companies will be faced with lowering coverage for certain benefits, raising rates, or not evening providing health care insurance because it will be too expensive. Rates will skyrocket!!! If companies stop providing this service, health insurance companies will lose money and eventually not be able to make a profit and have a reason to be in business. When companies drop their insurance where will the employees go? Ahhh, the federal goverment. This is what progressives, liberals, and the current Obama administration have wanted for a very, very, long time. The proof is in the pudding...



Say hello to the beginning of the end of health care insurance as we know it. This legislation NEEDS to be REPEALED and REPLACED with something that will actually work in bringing down health care costs, which will lower costs for Americans! GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

Chaos in the Massachusetts Health Care Market

I just learned today that Massachusetts' health care market is in chaos and did a news search on Google to find out more to see wassup and found the follwing blog post:

"Want a preview of ObamaCare in action? Check out the Massachusetts insurance market—which earlier this week entered a state of "market chaos" after Governor Deval Patrick denied a host of health insurance rate increases.

"On Tuesday, the state's individual insurance market effectively shut down as insurers refused to comply with the state's rejection of 235 of 274 proposed health insurance rate increases.

"The dispute has already put the two sides in court. Insurance companies are now claiming that the rejected rate increases mean they won't be able to operate at a profit, and arguing that no actuary would approve the sort of rates that state insurance regulators say they expect. Actuary sign-off is not only important for fiscal stability—it's a legal requirement in the state.

"Is this just insurance company posturing? It's entirely possible. Industries, entirely understandably, are bound to put up a fight when told they can't set their own prices. That means making the toughest claims they think they can get away with. But it's not unbelievable that the combination of rate caps and increased regulatory burdens is imposing what amounts to an impossible strain on private insurers.

"A judge is expected to rule on the dispute by Monday. But given that the Affordable Care Act was sold in part based on the argument that it expands government authority to review insurance rates, I think it's safe to say that this fight is just beginning." If the insurance company loses they will have no choice but to shut down and go out of business, which will lead to a single payer health care system that is paid directly by the state government...in other words, universal health care. If this is happening in a state that already has it in effect, what do you think will happen to the rest of the nation when Obamacare is fully implemented? It is exactly what Obama wants and hasn't shyed about it in the past as I have shown numerous times on this blog.

Freedom? What's That?

Sunday March 21, 2010 will go down in history and be recorded in the history books, which would mark the beginning of the end of the United States of America as we know it. The House of Representatives passed the Senate health care reform bill with a reconciliation package (219 to 216 majority vote), which President Obama is expected to sign into law tomorrow Tuesday March 23, 2010. This action will fundamentally transform the United States of America. This bill is completely partisan - not one single Republican voted yea.

A couple of things this article points out make me very uneasy. The first being "...employers will have to disclose the cost of workers' health coverage on their W-2 tax forms starting in 2011..." Basically, employers are going to be taxed on the health insurance that they provide for their employees up to 40%! Employers will be forced to lower coverage or pass on the cost to their employers...premiums will skyrocket even more.

Another thing is the uninsured will be now insured. Pre-existing conditions will no longer apply and insurance companies will be required to insure you. That's good if you have pre-existing conditions, but bad for everyone else. Insurance companies will be forced to raise premiums because they know that they will have to pay out more benefits. Premiums will skyrocket even more.

I personally believe that these two items alone will lead our nation to have a universal/single payer health care system. Private insurance will be forced out of business because it will no longer be profitable. When this "crisis" happens the government will have "no choice" but to step in and take control. Even Vice-President's Biden's said last week, "you know we will control the insurance companies." When the government controls the insurance they control how we live our lives through regulation. One-sixth of my freedom and liberty just flew out the window and not too happy about it. More to come...

T-Minus 72-hours

Within the past hour the House of Representatives released and posted online their reconciliation package of the health care reform bill. It's some 2,000+ pages and is scheduled to be debated on the House floor for in two days for only four hours. How in the heck our our representatives supposed to read and analyze the bill in 48 hours?

WHY THE RUSH?


I can only think of a one reasonable reason, which is one of the same reasons why the President wanted to get it passed before the August break last year. The congressional leaders and President Obama knows that if congress can go home to their respective states they will get an ear full from their constituents who are overwhelmingly opposed to this health care reform bill and how congress is going about trying to get it passed. Plus they are keeping them busy on the weekends for the same reason.

It looks like the House is going to use the "Slaughter Rule" which will "deem it passed" without even actually even voting on the bill. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, knows that they don't have the votes so they will do anything to get this passed. The funny thing is that all Republican are against the bill and will not be voting on it. Democrats have control in the House, but they can't seem to agree with one another and the in-party disputes has what's been holding up the vote!

On FoxNews' Live with Megan Kelly today she talked about a new poll that was just released showing now 85% of Americans are against the health care reform bill. 85%!!! Is Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the President ignorant that America is overwhelminly against it! No. They know and don't care. It's their kamikazi. They started on a path in which they cannot turn back and are in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. This weekend is the moment of truth and a vote that could fundamentally transform the United States of America.

House Panel Pushes Forward With Health Care Maneuver

Be sure to click the link above and read the FoxNews article that discusses how the House Panel plans to push through health care by using a simple majority vote (aka nuclear option, reconciliation, fifty plus one). The President and his fellow Democrats and Progressives do not care what type of health care reform bill gets passes...they just want it passed. They just need to get their foot in the door and then be able to feed and expand it to whatever they want once the structure is in place. They will do anything and everything they can, even if it means their own careers to pass it. "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" I hope and pray to God that it doesn't.

Let me get this straight...we're trying to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.


What could possibly go wrong?

More Tidbits on Health Care


President Obama is determined that the House of Representatives pass the Health Care reform bill before congress breaks for Easter (end of March). President Obama is completely out-of-touch with the American people. In a recent poll conducted by AP-GFK between March 3-8, 2010 the top four issues Americans care about are...
  1. The Economy
  2. Unemployment
  3. Terrorism
  4. The Deficit
Health care didn't even break into the top four. Don't you think it's time for congress and the President to listen to us and the American people?

Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House of Representatives, is also hell-bent on getting this legislation passed as soon as possible. It's amazing what comes out of her mouth sometimes. She said, "...we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." Are you kidding me? The future of America's economy isn't a grab bag that you buy for a $1 trillion and look in after the fact...surprise! NO! NO! NO! We need to know what is in the bill and how it will affect us completely BEFORE it is passed! What a freakin' joke.

If the House passes the bill it will go back to the Senate, in which Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leaders plans on using the "reconciliation" or "nuclear" option to pass it with a simple majority that President Obama recently came out in support of when he was against it in 2007 saying you can't govern like that.  Another flip flop from the master flopper flips his mind.

We have to ask the question why?  Why is President Obama so determined on getting this passed when the majority of American's are against it?  Why is he risking his office?  Why did Pelosi encourage fellow democrats to support the bill even if it means their careers?  Why force it down our throats?  WHY?!

Obama Won't Quit

I am not talking about President Obama's smoking addiction, but about Healthcare. I know I haven't posted for awhile, but have been following the news and the political arena closely. There has been SO MUCH going on I find it difficult to try and pick one area and talk about it with my limited free time.

America has spoken. 73% want this supposed healthcare reform bill scrapped. 52% are against reform altogether. Still, President Obama is doing all that he can to push this through and get it passed as soon as possible. He even came out recently and said he is in support of "reconciliation" also known as the nuclear option. This means that the Senate only needs a simple majority vote of 51 instead of 60 to pass a bill. I could spend a entire post about this, but am focusing on President Obama's support for reconciliation. In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama said:
"You've got to break out of what I call, sort of, the 50-plus-one pattern of presidential politics. Maybe you eke out a victory of 50-plus-one, then you can't govern. You know, you get Air Force One, I mean there are a lot of nice perks, but you can't deliver on health care. We're not going to pass universal health care with a 50-plus-one strategy."
All of the sudden the President is for 50-plus-one pattern of presidential politics? I shouldn't be surprised that Obama has conflicting statements, but how much more can we take of this America? He is now only considering this because he knows that he doesn't have the votes to get it passed...especially since Senator Scott Brown won a senate seat after 40+ years of Democratic Ted Kennedy's came open after his death.

President Obama doesn't care about healthcare reform. All he cares about is getting the structure for healthcare reform in place so it can expand and get into every area of our life and control one-sixth of the economy!

The following clip is a radio address given by former President Reagan speaking out against socialized medicine. It is just over ten minutes long, but please take the time to listen to it as it will open your eyes.



Today President Obama targeted health insurers again accusing they're directly responsible for rising health care costs and the constant rise of insurance premiums.

"Insurance companies, the president argued, have made a calculation. He cited a recent Goldman Sachs conference call in which an insurance broker told investors that insurers are willing to lose some customers through premium hikes because of an overall lack of competition in the industry." -CNN
President Obama's idea of competition is an "insurance exvhange" idealy with a "public option" that would be government funded. No matter what anyone says, YOU CANNOT COMPETE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! It will drive the private insurance industry out of business...exactly what they want.

I agree that there is a lack of competition when it comes to choosing a health care provider. It does drive premium rates up...there's no doubt in my mind. Republicans have suggested to open up state lines where health insurance can be purchased from any state. This would immediately drive rates down because when there's more companies in the mix they have more to compete with. Competition is good...it what makes the free market work. Look at Wal-Mart for example. Last year they started a perscription pill program where for only $10 you could get a three month supply. Not long after, other companies followed suit because all their business was going somewhere else and to stay competitive they were forced to lower their rates, which is good for us.

Uh, President Obama? Shouldn't you be focusing on the millions of American that don't have a job instead of jamming healthcare down our mouth? We don't need another big government program that will cost taxpayers almost $1 trillion over the next decade...some estimate it'll cost over $2 trillion.

"What the American people would like us to do is not make this gargantuan mistake," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, told ABC's "This Week."

Life, Liberty, & Happiness

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
These lines are some of the most popular lines in the Declaration of Independence. I wanted to focus on just one part and a possible new meaning on "...life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men..." Especially the "life" aspect of the declaration.

Life is an unalienable right "endowed by [our] Creator" and governments are instituted to secure this right. Am I wrong making that statement? For me "to secure" means "to protect." To protect life...including the unborn. Yes, I'm talking about abortion.

I believe life begins at conception. The ONLY time I think where abortion would be okay is if a pregnancy was due to rape, incest, or threatens the life of the mother. "From 1973 through 2005, more than 45 million legal abortions have occurred in the United States." Source 45 MILLION!!! That is an astounding number! 45 million souls who do not get to experience mortal life. Lives who won't get to know right from wrong, know the love of family, experience love themselves, and not know the joy and happiness of creating life themselves. The thought sickens me to the very core.

Our government has the duty and responsibility to protect life. Abortion has been a hot topic in current health care reform legislation in Washington D.C. this past year because there are some that say that tax dollars should not be used for abortions and some say that it should. To protect life, abortion needs to be made illegal (except for reasons as previously mentioned).

I personally haven't read the proposed House or Senate health care reform bill, but I found somebody who has read the entire House document. On his Website, Believe All Things it says,
"[this bill] does provide for rationing of health care...free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation of abortions by members of the medical profession."
Isn't this the opposite direction our government should be going? I do not want MY tax dollars going to fund abortions! The only place abortion has in any piece of legislation is to ban it and make it illegal.  I am going to do my own research and find out for myself if tax payer funded abortions would be in this bill, and if it is do everything in my power to fight against it and hope you would too.

Word of caution: DO NOT do a Google image search for "abortion" - almost made me throw up and brought me to tears. But if you think abortion is okay, go ahead and do it...make sure the "safe search" is off.

All Eyes on Massachusetts

***UPDATE*** Scott Brown is victorious in Massachusetts sending shock waves through Washington and the whole Democratic base.  Will this make them rethink their plans?  We'll just have to wait and see.

It’s not very often that the eyes of the entire nation are looking on individual State Senate races, but in Massachusetts it is different this time around. As you may be aware, Senator Ted Kennedy passed away little while ago and tomorrow is the special election to fill his empty Senate seat. Massachusetts is a Democratic leaning state and has not elected a Republican Senator since 1972. This may all change tomorrow.

What was to be a shoe in for Attorney General Martha Coakley is now desperation to win. The latest poll from Politico.com shows Republican Scott Brown ahead by 9 percentage points at 52% while Martha Coakley at 43%. Democrats in Washington are frantic and pulling all the stops to help Coakley. I mean the President made a special trip to Massachusetts to campaign for her, the President’s buddies at SEIU donated $687,000 toward her campaign last week, Ed Schultz (Liberal talk radio host) is encouraging liberals to participate in voting fraud by trying to vote more than once to cheat the system, and ACORN is doing their thing (may or may not be helping underage prostitutes). Why are the Democrats/Liberals/Progressives pulling out all the stops and desperate that Martha Coakley wins?

Health care reform. It’s all about health care reform that is currently being reconciled in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Democrats currently have a super majority in the Senate with 60 votes of 100, which effectively stops any Republican filibuster. If just one vote is lost health care reform is also lost. Republican Scott Brown has surrounded his campaign on one specific issue: “I will be the 41st vote to stop universal health care.”

A couple of years ago this would have been impossible, but Massachusetts is different. The state has already tried universal health care…they’ve been there and done that. It has failed miserably. For the residents in Massachusetts health insurance premiums have skyrocketed, budgets have been exceeded, and benefits have been slashed to cut costs. The residents have seen and experienced this first hand and are not impressed and do not want this to go national.

A victory for Scott Brown would be huge wake up call for Democrats in Washington and hopefully for President Obama if his pride and arrogance doesn’t get in the way. I know this is wishful thinking, but maybe Obama will rethink his progressive agenda and govern in the best interest of all the people instead of his special interest groups like SEIU. It will be interesting on the outcome tomorrow and the reaction on both sides.

Obama Cuts Deal With Unions


My previous post explained how President Obama wants to tax high end insurance plans also known as the "Cadillac Tax." This 40% tax would apply to insurance plans over $8,000 for individuals and $21,000 for families...except for big labor union workers, like SEIU. Don't know who SEIU is? President Obama does...




Did you hear that? He said, "Your agenda has been my agenda in the United States Senate. Before debating health care I talked to Andy Stern [CEO, SEIU] and SEIU members...we've worked together over these last few years, and I'm proud of what we've done. I'm just not satisfied. Because I know how much more we can accomplish as partners in an Obama Administration. Just imagine...just imagine what we can do together."

Who's running our country? Barack Obama or Unions? (aka special interests, lobbyists, etc.) Hey? Didn't Obama promise that he wouldn't have any special interests or lobbyists in his administration? Another broken promise. If this health care bill gets passed Unions will be exempt for the 40% Cadillac tax until 2018, but we all know that it will be a lot longer than that. Because of unions being exempt, it is estimated that $60 billion will need to be found somewhere else? Where will it come from? You, I, and everyone else...except you know who.

By the way, SEIU has donated $687,000 to Martha Coakley's campaign in the Senate Massachusetts race due to an unknown Republican, Scott Brown climbing ahead in the polls. Why? To help protect the 60th vote in the Senate to pass this health care bill. If Scott Brown gets elected he's determined to be the 41st vote against the bill to stop it dead in its tracks. President Obama is even making a trip there tomorrow to give his "helping hand." The election is Tuesday...let's pray Scott Brown is victorious!

Promise, Lies, & Health Care

According to Wikipedia, a "Cadillac" health insurance plan "is defined by the U.S. Senate Finance Committee...with yearly premiums higher than $8,000 for individuals or $21,000 for families, but colloquially refers to any expensive plan."  During the campaign trail, Barack Obama attacked John McCain because he wanted to tax the high end health insurance plans in which Obama "firmly pledged" he would not do himself.

The first part of this YouTube video is an NPR interview with President Barack Obama on December 23, 2009 basically saying he's going to move forward with the "cadillac tax" and the second part is the video on the campagin trail where he attacked John McCain for wanting to do the same thing.


Who or what companies provides the majority of the plans, and what would the effect be if these plans were suddenly taxed? Large corporations, labor unions, and independently owned companies that want to provide the best possible health insurance for their employees and are willing to pay for the majority of it.

One of thing things could happen if these Cadillac plans were taxed that the corporations, labor unions, or independently owned companies were required to pay? (1) Employers would increase premiums to pass on the added cost on to employees to keep the same coverage. (2) Employers would drop Cadillac plans to avoid the tax, which would result in more out-of-pocket costs for employees because they don't have the same coverage as before. Either way, it ends up costing us, the employees more. We would pay the Cadillac tax, not the companies. Eventually, over time, this would lead employers to dropping coverage to their employees all together which would cause a "crisis" where the government would have to step in and provide a government run insurance plan so individuals will still have health care coverage which would lead to a universal health care plan and drive the private insurance industry out of business, just like Obama has always wanted.


I no long believe anything Barack Obama says to be true (not that I did in the first place). Just like on the campaign trail, he will say anything that appeals to the American people to get elected and he will keep saying anything to push through his radical agenda regardless if the people are against it. Whenever Obama starts off something with, "Let me be clear" you know the next words out of his mouth is a lie. It's all about broken promises, lies, and do anything to get health care reform passed.

A Right or a Privilege?

You have the right and privilege to make more money! Click here.

Senator Tom Harkin said this just before the December 24, 2009 Senate vote on health care reform:
"On one side is health care as a privilege; on the other side is health care a right. With these these votes, with the vote that we'll take before Christmas, we will cross that line finally and say that health care is a right of all Americans." Source
He is of course referencing the Declaration of Independence where it says, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights..." What is an unalienable right? When is a right unalienable?

"...natural rights (also called moral rights or unalienable rights) are rights which are not contingent upon the laws, customs, or beliefs of a particular society polity. Natural rights are thus necessarily universal..." Source
"The Founders did not believe that the basic rights of mankind originated from an social compact, king, emperor, or government authority. Those rights, they believed, came directly and exclusively from God. Therefore, they were to be maintained sacred and inviolate." (W. Cleon Skousen, The 5000 Year Leap.)

When the Left like Senator Harkin says that health care is a right, is he referencing that providing affordable health care for everybody is endowed by our Creator? Or is he and our government taking the place of God and creating this right for everybody? If so, that is a scary thought because they would also have the power to take that right away (i.e. death panels, rationing of health care benefits, etc.).

I personally believe that health care is a privilege, not a right. We are responsible for our own personal health. We should not rely on anyone else, especially the government, to provide or make sure that we have health care coverage. History has shown over and over again, the more the government gets involved the bigger the problem and usually more expensive. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, "Government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem."

This monstrosity health care reform bill (over 2,500 pages) that is currently being reconciled between both houses of congress is just a political structure that the Left have been wanting for nearly a hundred years to have more control over our lives. It is a doorway to socialism, and all they need is to their foot in the door and then they will be able to expand and add things like a public government run health care system. Health care is not a right and should not be treated as one and we must not let our government put in place the structure they want to take even more control of our economy and lives.

Obama's Freshman Year

During the campaign for President of the United States, then Senator Barack Obama said it was going to do a lot of things and made a lot of promises. I came across this Website - http://www.politifact.com/ - tracking Obama's campaign promises to see if the promises are being kept, broken, compromised, stalled, or in the works. There's over 500 promises they are tracking. I want to discuss some of those promises and what Obama has done in 2009, his Freshman Year.
"As president, Barack Obama will close the detention facility at Guantanamo."
"On his second full day in office [January 22, 2009], President Obama issued an executive order to review the disposition of prisoners being held at the naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and ordered that the detention facility be closed within a year." Technically, President Obama still has 17 days to make good on this comittment, but it probably won't happen. Obama advisors/spokespersons have recently said it could take another year or two. There also continues to be a lot of controversy if closing of Guantanamo Bay is the right thing to do.
"My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government."

President Obama and his administration is currently under fire for transparency due to his promise not being kept for allowing health care negotiations from all sides and being broadcasted on C-SPAN so the public can see what is being done. As the Senate and House reconcile their respective bills Obama and the Democrats have opted to shut everybody out and make their back room deals as usual. These negotiations will not be broadcasted on C-SPAN or be made available to the public for review before vote either. In fact, public review shows the majority of Americans are against the current bill for health care reform, which was displayed all over the country in townhall meetings and Tea Parties for most of 2009.
I can make a firm pledge, under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income taxes, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.
Let's start with the "Cap and Trade" plan that Obama is proposing. During a videotaped interview he did with the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board very early in his presidential campaign, January 2008: "Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers." The Cap and Trade bill is currently stalled and not being debated in either branch of congress, but I gaurantee that it will be back soon...health care reform is at the top of the agenda. Speaking of health care reform, passage of this bill will most likely raise taxes. With the bribe, I mean the deal that Senator Ben Nelson got for the state of Nebraska (i.e. fully fund his state's expanded Medicaid population for the first three years like other states, but the only state to continue after the three years forever and ever) will raise payroll Medicare taxes for every working citizen.
I will promise you this...that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am President, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank. 10/27/07
It is clear that Obama knows nothing about being in a war or managing one for that matter. A total lack of inexperience and for him to promise something like this is foolish. Well, he became president and ending the war was not the first thing he did, rather it was signing an executive order to close Gitmo, which by the way isn't going to happen either as previously discussed. Not only he hasn't ended the war, it seems like it's at the bottom of his "to do" list. Toward the end of August 2009, General McChrystal, that Obama appointed, sent a report to his Commander and Chief recommending a minimum of 40,000 additional troops or there won't be the man power needed to overcome the enemy. It sat on Obama's desk until early December when he finally decided to send 30,000 troops at the same time planning to bring our troops home. Does that make sense to you? Yah, me neither. He's trying to appeal to both sides. Either do all that we can to win the war and end it or bring them home.

These are just a few items I decided to review. There's actually a lot of promises that OBama has actually checked. Oh yah, he did get the Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing...that's gotta count for something right? Doesn't it? Guys?

Twas the Night Before Christmas


Twas the night before Christmas, and all through Capitol Hill,
All the Senators were stirring, for a vote on the health care bill.
Harry Reid was strung by President Obama with care,
In hopes all of the bribes will continue to be there.

The Democrats and Independents were all snug in their seats,
While visions of a government takeover danced within reach.
And Obama in his white house, and Pelosi with her fake smile,
Were just getting started being giddy like a spoiled little child.

When out on the white house lawn there wasn’t such a clatter,
Because the mainstream media did not seem to matter.
Soon out the window our freedoms and liberties flash,
Not listening to the people and spending too much cash.

“I have done nothing this year,” Obama says to himself,
As he looks at the Nobel Peace Prize high on his shelf.
“This health care reform will help me and you,
Just as long as I don’t have to go on it too!”

The Democrats are anxious just to get something done,
But they can’t seem to stand together as one.
Harry Reid has his bull whip, his votes on the line,
“We must end this crisis! We are running out of time!”

Why such a rush to shove this down our throats now?
When it doesn’t even kick in three years from now!
They have no problem with raising taxes and implementing fines,
But again, “We must end this crisis! We’ve run out of time!”

Logic is missing and common sense is gone,
No one wants to admit that this nonsense is wrong.
Socialized medicine and health care for all!
Unless you are under age 65, death comes to us all.

They say this health care reform bill will save money and lives,
But all it will do is send the economy in a deeper nose dive!
This bill will force you to buy health insurance or pay a big fine,
So much for promises and President Obama not taxing a dime.

“Now Landrieu, now Dorgan, now Lieberman and Nelson!
Now Harkin, now Wyden, now Dodd and Levin!
All “sell outs” to their country, confident they won’t take the fall,
Now cash away! Cash away! Health care for all!

So this Christmas Eve, give thanks to your Heavenly Lord,
And remember that the pen is mightier than the sword.
Make your voice heard! Stand up and fight!
A trillion dollar Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Oath of Office

The Constitution contains an oath of office only for the president. For other government officials, including members of Congress, the document specifies only that they "shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation to support the Constitution."

The First Congress, in 1789, reworked this requirement into a simple fourteen-word oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States."

At the beginning of the Civil War, Congress expanded the oath. That text is the earliest direct predecessor of the current oath. Then, in August 1862, a section was added, known as the "Ironclad Test Oath."

It required all civil servants and military officers to swear not only to future loyalty, as required by the existing oath, but also to affirm that they had never previously engaged in criminal or disloyal conduct. Those failing to take the 1862 Test Oath would not receive a salary. Ironically, Congress did not extend coverage of the Ironclad Test Oath to its own members.

In 1884, two decades after the Civil War ended, Congress quietly repealed the Test Oath section, leaving intact what is today's current affirmation of constitutional allegiance:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."


You would think that in order to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States" that you would need to know and understand the Constitution right?

When asked where in the Constitution of the United States does it say that the government can mandate that everyone have health insurance:

Mary Landrieu (D-LA) - "Well, we're very lucky as members of the Senate to have constitutional lawyers on our staff, so I'll let them answer that." By the way, if you don't know who Mary Landrieu is...she was on the fence with the health care reform bill until she found out that in it contained a $300 million "bribe" for her state. Mary passes off the question to the lawyers. James freely admits that it's unconstitutional. And the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is flabbergasted that the question was even asked!

It's not about health care reform of helping those who don't have health insurance. It's about putting an infrastructure in place that allows the government to seize more control over our lives.

Cut and Expand

The U.S. Senate has been debating the health care reform bill the past couple of weeks. During this time it was voted that Medicare funding would be cut by $400 billion. On another subject, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has said, "We've overcome a real problem that we had," announcing what he called a "broad agreement" Tuesday night.

That agreement...the new government run health care option is dead. Off the table. Dead. Iced. No longer exisits. Instead they've decided to expand an already existing government run health care plan - Medicare. This plan will open Medicare benefits to uninsured Americans from age 65 to age 55 starting in 2011.

Didn't they just vote to cut Medicare funding and now they want to expand eligibility coverage?

"60 Minutes" did an exposé on Sunday October 25, 2009 on Medicare fraud. Presented by CBS's Steve Kroft outlines facts and figures that are unsettling on how the system gets milked for an estimated $60 billion per year! Read summary here.

By the way, isn't Medicare bankrupt? Or about to be? Hmmm, let's cut funding and then expand it! That makes perfect sense! (Can you sense my sarcasm?) Fraud will double. Taxes will surge. Benefits and quality of care will drop. How can they not see this? How do members of Congress who are for this expect to remain in office? I am tempted to move to another state where the congressmen are for this just to help vote them out of office next year!

Presidential Address to Congress - ObamaCare

I've said this before, and I'll say it again...Barack Obama is a very eloquent and persuasive speaker. He definitely delivers a good speech and to the under educated or uninformed person watching this tonight would be on board with the health care reform that President Obama is proposing. Make sure you read the speech and then take a look at this detailed FACT CHECK.

Over and over again and time after time Obama has said that his health care reform bill that you'll be able to keep your doctor and your current health insurance period. Tonight President Obama said, "Nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have. Let me repeat this: Nothing in our plan requires you to change what you have." This time he didn't include "period." This much is true, but what happens when your employer decides to stop carrying their insurance because it's cheaper to "chip in" and then the employees choose the public option. They say the public option will compete with private insurance, but how can they compete with the government when they are both a provider and regulator?

Obama also said this to his "progressive" friends: "I would remind you that for decades, the driving idea behind reform has been to end insurance company abuses and make coverage available for those without it. The public option--the public option in only a means to an end, and we should remain open to other ideas that accomplish our ultimate goal."

What exactly is the ultimate goal? It's not like the progressives/liberals are hiding it...let's hear it from the horses mouth and from others who are close to the President.

Don't be fooled! Their ultimate goal is to have a single payer health care option. All they need to do is get their foot in with a "public option." From there, over time, will grow and consume every aspect of health care until the only choice will be the government choice.
