How to Get Unpopular Legislation Passed (Jonathan Gruber)

Jonathan Gruber, one of the main architects of the Affordable Care Act (i.e. ObamaCare) let us know this week how to get unpopular legislation passed.

What's being called the latest scandal on Capitol Hill has the American people outraged. Republicans are calling for hearings to begin to investigate further and Democrats are quickly distancing themselves from Jonathan Gruber including the White House where he's visited many many times as he was a key component in the Affordable Care Act.

Here's the video that prompted the controversy:

To sum it up, the lack of transparency and the stupidity of the American people were critical in getting the legislation passed... among other things.

Not long after this went viral and attempts to delete the incriminating evidence from the Internet, Jonathan Gruber defended his remarks as "off the cuff" and "regrets" saying it. Sounds more like he regrets that it was recorded and didn't realize his off the cuff remarks would really mean anything. Probably because he really does think the American people are stupid.

Over the next day or so, this "scandal" began to die down a little bit and it seemed people were accepting his excuse... that's if you're gullible enough. Yah, one incident, one "off the cuff" remark could be dismissed... then today another video at a different event, a different day shows Jonathan Gruber again saying essentially the same thing referring to passing ObamaCare:

One time, okay. But two? I can't help but think of the Bible scripture from 1 Corinthians 13:1:

"...In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."
We've been lied to. They banked on the "stupidity of the American people" to get this legislation passed, which hasn't done anything the said it would do. If they did it back then, I bet they're continue to do it today. What do you think?
